Course aims:

This workshop focuses on blended learning and how to put it in practice in a principled way.  It sets out some of the different blended learning models (flipped classroom, hi-flex etc.) and explores how synchronous and asynchronous modes of delivery might be integrated together effectively.
There is a particular focus on online learning delivered though Moodle and the role that asynchronous tasks and learning activities can play in stimulating student engagement and triggering effective pedagogies.  These issues will be explored through examples of blended learning courses/modules that have been designed within the Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences.
