This is a 2.5-hour webinar with (an optional) live 60-minute proposal clinic for direct feedback on participants real world bids. 

Structure of the session: 2.5-hour webinar (10am-12.30pm), break (12.30-1.30pm), live optional 60-minute proposal clinic for direct feedback on participants real world bids (1.30-2.30pm). 

Winning funding is critical to sustaining a strong research environment, but writing competitive bids is both time consuming and demanding.   

This practical workshop explores how generative AI can support grant writing without compromising quality, originality, or integrity.  

You’ll learn how to use tools like ChatGPT to strengthen your workflow, while keeping full control over your ideas and narrative.  

What you’ll be able to do after the session:  

• Identify where AI can support different stages of the grant lifecycle.   
• Use generative AI to brainstorm, structure, and refine proposals effectively.  
• Recognise and manage risks such as inaccuracies, bias, and non-compliance. 
• Clearly document and justify your use of AI in applications. 
• Build a realistic, repeatable workflow that improves efficiency and clarity. 

Who this is for: Principal investigators, co-investigators, postdoctoral researchers, and research development professionals involved in funding applications who want to use AI responsibly and effectively.
