This online course is run by the Researcher Academy and forms part of the Research Supervisor Seminar Series

Target Audience: University staff involved in research supervision (either formally or informally)
Course Description:
This session will focus on supervision of doctoral students. How to gain experience of supervision, the opportunities available for formal recognition of the research staff contributions in the supervisory team and discussions on the challenges and rewards of the role. In this session we will explore the Assistant Supervisor role, and hear from a panel of speakers who will offer their personal insights into starting out and developing as a doctoral supervisor.
