Course description: Do you want to demonstrate the impact of your public engagement activities but aren’t sure how? Are you planning future events and want to know how you can evaluate them? Are you writing a grant application and aren’t sure how you can include public engagement to facilitate impact? This session explores how to embed the evaluation of public engagement activities into all stages of the research cycle, from funding applications and event planning through to dissemination and post-event follow-ups. We will cover a range of different audiences and event types, with the opportunity for you to develop your own evaluation strategy as part of the session.
