Would you like to find out more about how you can achieve this with the help of policy experts from the UK, and abroad?   

Designed for post-graduates, or any researcher hoping for an introduction, the Researcher Academy’s ‘Get Engaged with Policy’ programme, provides all the tools, tips and skills required.  

Throughout the programme you will hear from aspirational leaders about the value of academic policy engagement, and the ways research can inform policy as a catalyst for change.

By completing the expert training activities, you have a unique opportunity to evolve into a confident, skilful, policy engaged researcher.

You will learn how to: 

• Identify, map and engage with decision makers and policy influencers
• Plan, write and construct a persuasive policy brief for your research
• Practice, prepare and present your policy brief 

The full programme is spread over four days, split between Speaker Sessions and associated Workshops.​​​​​​​

Any University of Nottingham staff researchers or interested staff members can register to attend any of the speaker sessions dependent on availability.

Full Programme Participants must attend 10am to 3pm for every session.

Speaker Series events are 12 to 1pm. 

Please ensure you have the capacity to engage with the programme before applying.
