Description:

The University has in place a Code of Practice on Research Data Management, and in conjunction with other University policies and procedures, will ensure good research practice and sustain programmes of excellent and ethical research.

The University recognises research data as a valuable institutional asset and acknowledges the role that good research data management can play in underpinning and realising its vision to be recognised globally for the quality of its research.

  • This Code applies to all research data generated from, or used for, research activities conducted by and/or at the University of Nottingham UK regardless of whether it is identifiable or pseudonymised data (i.e. falls under the remit of the Data ProtectionLegislation) or anonymised or bears no personal identifiable information.
  • Code applies to all research data generated from, or used for, research activities conducted by and/or at the University of Nottingham UK regardless of funding conditions.
  • The Code does not apply to staff and students at University of Nottingham’s international campuses and offices. However, international campuses may tailor this Code for their country-specific requirements.
