This online course is run by the Researcher Academy and forms part of the Research Supervisor Seminar Series

The Researcher Academy courses are very popular and the majority are run in both semesters to give you the opportunity to attend at a time of the year that suits you. 

Target Audience: University staff involved in research supervision (either formally or informally)

Course Description:

This interactive session is aimed at empowering supervisors to effectively support their PGRs when experiencing mental health issues. The session will include:

• Raising awareness of common mental health difficulties that a PGR may experience
• Ways you can support your supervisee, including linking them into other support services
• Maintaining the boundaries of the supervisory role and protecting your own mental health
• Discussions in breakout rooms with examples of scenarios that you may encounter as a supervisor
