In today’s digital age, sharing research through blogging has become a powerful and accessible method to reach wider audiences. This course will help you to explore the art of blogging as a tool amplify and disseminate your research.

Here’s what you’ll learn in this webinar:

  1. Understand the benefits of blogging
  2. Uncover your target audience(s): you will identify your stakeholders and start to develop a rationale about why they should care about your research
  3. Craft engaging and accessible content: you will acquire the skills to present your research in a clear, concise and jargon-free manner; making it accessible to your audience
  4. Highlight key blogging platforms: we will explore examples of blogging platforms and talk about key things to be aware of when setting up a blog
  5. Gain practice skills in writing a blog post: you will be given time to put your learning into practice by planning and writing a blog post for fellow researchers about your research
  6. Promoting your blog post: you will discover ways to promote what you’ve written to attract attention from readers

Who should attend this course? This course is designed for all researchers. Whether you are new to blog writing or have experience writing blogs but want to attract more interest, this course will give you the practical skills necessary to communicate your research outside of the confines of academia. This course forms part of the "Communicating your Research using other Online Tools" pathway.
