The Researcher Academy courses are very popular and the majority are run in both semesters to give you the opportunity to attend at a time of the year that suits you. 

Target Audience: University staff involved in research supervision (either formally or informally)

Course Description:

Deborah Webb, Complaints and Conduct Manager, will deliver a presentation on managing complaints within the context of the Student Complaint Procedure. Prompt resolution of dissatisfaction is highly desirable for all parties because the handling of escalated complaints can be stressful, time-consuming and costly. As well as giving you some background on the framework for complaints management, the session will provide some practical tips to help you identify, investigate and respond to complaints. Debbie will include some case studies and there will be the opportunity to ask questions.
