Course Description:
This training will introduce the ‘Supervising PGR’s from Diverse Backgrounds’ guide which you can access here: https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/edi/documents/researcher-academy-supervising-postgraduate-researchers-from-diverse-backgrounds.pdf, bringing the content to life and outlining its practical applications, such as helping PGR’s find support and access University services. This session will help to build confidence in having conversations about identity and the impact on a PGR’s research, and encourage engagement with the guide, highlighting the advice and guidance it provides. There will also be the opportunity to take part in discussions around areas of EDI.
