Welcome to the Researcher Academy - existing researchers (Faculty of Social Sciences)
Duration 1 hour
Team Researcher Academy

This online session is run by the Researcher Academy as part of the Faculty of Social Sciences Training Programme

Target audience: Mid to late stage PGRs from the Faculty of Social Sciences

Description

We would like to give PGRs from the Faculty of Social Sciences an opportunity to come together for this short online session hosted by the Researcher Academy. You will hear what will be on offer in our 2021-22 programme of training and development opportunities, 'meet' key colleagues who work to support the Faculty of Social Sciences and have the chance to ask any questions you might.

As you move through your PhD, you’ll need to draw on different resources and types of support. In this session, we’ll tell you about the new and existing opportunities in the Researcher Academy, focusing on things you might be interested in as your work progresses. We’ll revisit the development needs analysis process and highlight opportunities most relevant beyond the early stages of the PhD. We will also highlight training and development opportunities that may be particularly helpful in enabling you to connect with other researchers both in person and in the 'virtual' environment.

We also want to hear from you. There will be chance to ask questions and make any comments that you may have in relation to the Researcher Academy and your training and development needs.
