When we’re in the middle of difficult changes it can be hard to focus on the end goal, the vision of where we’re going, but not taking time to do this risks you and your team heading in the wrong direction or getting stuck in the pain and difficulty that a change can bring. Taking time to look up and out and communicate the destination is essential to the success of any change initiative.
In this workshop we’ll explore tools to define and communicate a vision of the future in a way that motivates and inspires people to come with you and help you to achieve your goals.
The workshop is intended for colleagues who lead teams of people, or work with a wide network of stakeholders in delivering change.
This workshop relates to the following competencies outlined in the Competency Framework: “Communication”, “Collaboration”, “Adaptability” and “Leading others: sets the direction”.
Learning outcomes:
Set direction and vision in a way that gives clarity of purpose.
Define and communicate a vision for the future that empowers colleagues to take action.
Identify tools that will help you to engage colleagues in working collaboratively to deliver a vision.
Please be aware that this workshop is a discussion-based session with pair and group exercises. You do not have to share anything you are not comfortable with but bear in mind you will be asked to reflect on your own experiences.
