Please note: this course is for line managers only, but all staff (whether line managers or not) are welcome to book onto the main version of this course, titled “Realising your Strengths”.
This workshop explores how understanding and using both your own strengths and those of your team can enhance confidence, resilience, engagement, and effectiveness. You'll identify what energises you, explore both your realised and unrealised strengths, and consider how they shape your leadership approach and support your development as a manager.
You'll also learn how to recognise strengths in others and use this understanding to support development, allocate work effectively, increase engagement, and help individuals and teams perform at their best. By harnessing strengths, you can create the conditions for people and teams to thrive.
This workshop relates to the “Communication”, “Self-leadership” and “Adaptability” competencies outlined in the Competency Framework.
Learning outcomes:
Please be aware that this workshop is an interactive session with group and pair exercises. You do not have to share anything you are not comfortable with but bear in mind you will be asked to reflect on your own experiences.
Pre-work: before the session, you must complete a Strengths Profile questionnaire which will be sent to you in advance of the session. After completing it, you will receive a report that you will need to bring at the session as you will need to use it as part of the session activities.
