Staff and postgraduate students looking to develop their presentation skills. Note – you should have first attended the Presentation Skills – Structure and Technique On-line course. Second note – you WILL need to give a 10 – 15 minutes presentation as part of the course.
After a brief introduction by the trainer, all delegates will take it in turn to present. Presentations should be of 10-15 minutes in length, with some time then for the presenter to answer questions on the presentation. After each presentation, feedback will be provided by the trainer and the other delegates.
Presentations should include a time – probably at the beginning and end – when the presenter is visible on screen without slides.
We will be looking at:
The structure of the presentation – a suitable introduction, a middle and a conclusion/summary
Use of visual aids – well-presented, well-delivered slides
The use of you voice
Anything else that contributes to the effectiveness of the presentation
