Staff and postgraduate students looking to develop their presentation skills. Note – you should have first attended the Presentation Skills – Structure and Technique course and you will be required to give a presentation.
After a brief introduction by the trainer, delegates will take it in turns to present. Presentations should be of 10-15 minutes in length, with some time then for the presenter to answer questions on the presentation. After each presentation, feedback will be provided by the trainer and the other delegates.
We will be looking at:
The structure of the Presentation – a suitable introduction, middle and conclusion/summary
Use of visual aids – well-prepared and well-presented
The use of your voice and any body language
Note: Postgraduate students looking for specific guidance on presenting in a Research environment should check if any courses are running that may be more suitable.
This course is also offered as a slightly shorter on-line version.
