Following the return of the Annual Review and Plan documents last year, we reviewed the common issues and many of you were rating your business unit as red or orange for the questions regarding having a training matrix and records.

In order to support you with the training matrix and generally cover the H&S training available at the university, we’ve set up a date for a workshop for 20 April 2023. We’re limiting the numbers to 30 for this first one but will offer future dates if attendees find it useful.

During the workshop, we aim to cover:

1. Health and safety training at the university - arrangements and provision (including update on eLearning suite)
2. University assurance framework – H&S section - training
3. Identifying general H&S training needs for your business unit
4. Using a training matrix approach to recording training needs
5. Implementation and monitoring
6. Considering job-specific training and record keeping
