This course provides managers and supervisors with the knowledge and practical tools needed to manage risks associated with Hand-Arm Vibration (HAV) and Whole-Body Vibration (WBV)
The course includes:
An overview of the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005.
Identifying Exposure Action Values (EAV) and Exposure Limit Values (ELV).
Practical training on using the HSE Ready-Reckoner and Vibration Calculators to determine exposure points.
Understanding the Hierarchy of Controls and the myth of "anti-vibration" gloves.
Who should attend:
Managers, Principal Investigators, Supervisors and Team Leaders responsible for controlling hand-arm and whole-body vibration and implementing the University’s vibration compliance standard.
Attendance Notice

Cancellations: If you cannot attend, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer your place to someone on the waiting list.
Reporting: Please note that non-attendance is reported to Line Managers, Heads of Business Units, and FPVCs.
Absences: If you have a legitimate reason for missing a session (e.g. illness), please let us know so we can update our records and ensure you aren't unfairly penalised.
