This course provides you with an understanding of how we manage all data and information at the university in line with relevant legislation and your responsibilities within this.  

Learning outcomes 

  • Understand the key principles and scope of the UK GDPR  
  • Understand how to handle data responsibly  
  • Know how to report a data breach at the University 
  • Identify common on-line threats to security  

Who should complete this training

This course forms part of the suite of compliance e-learning modules that all staff (plus Associates and Postgraduate Researchers – PGR's) are required to complete within 3 months of joining the University.  This course needs to be repeated annually

If you are a staff member you should access this learning through your learning account in UnicoreIf you are an Associate, PGR or are required to complete this learning as part of your role and do not have a Unicore learning account you should access this training by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page and click book.
