Overview

This interactive course introduces the key principles of the Dignity at Nottingham policy, outlining the roles and responsibilities of all members of the University community.  It assists in establishing an environment in which bullying, harassment, discrimination, victimisation and sexual misconduct are regarded as unacceptable behaviours across the University.

Through scenario-based learning, you will gain insights into the effects of unacceptable behaviours on individuals and develop a clear understanding of your role in creating a respectful and inclusive environment.  The course emphasises the University’s zero tolerance stance on bullying and harassment (including victimisation), providing practical guidance on accessing procedures and resources for reporting and addressing such issues confidentially.

Learning outcomes

  • Be aware of the definitions, examples and impact of bullying, harassment, discrimination, victimisation and sexual misconduct in professional and academic environments.
  • Understand the responsibilities and procedures for preventing and addressing these behaviours
