Under 18s Safeguarding additional module: DBS Checks (Online Course)

Overview:
This course will help you understand the requirements for DBS checking when running an event or activity for children or young people.

The training is designed for staff running events or activities for under 18s. For example, prospective undergraduate students, or attendees at outreach, sport, or community activities.

Estimated completion time: 15 minutes

Pre-requisites: complete the under 18s safeguarding core training before taking this module.

Learning Outcomes:

• Understand what a DBS check is
• Know which situations require a DBS check for working with under 18s
• Be familiar with the process for requesting a DBS check at the University of Nottingham
