Microsoft PowerPoint: Multimedia Enhancements (Advanced)

If you are not proficient with all of the learning outcomes of the Microsoft PowerPoint Foundation of Slideshow Presentations course, then you are strongly advised to attend that course before attending this course.  The Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation Enhancements course below, builds on the skills you will have previously developed and there will not be time to cover that material in this session.

In this course, you will learn how to enhance your slideshow presentations by working with a variety of features to produce slideshow presentations that have even more visually compelling designs and utlise a variety of multimedia sources.

Learning Outcomes:


At the completion of this course you should be able to:

  • Create and work with SmartArt graphics, charts and tables

  • Import data into Microsoft PowerPoint from a number of different applications

  • Edit inserted images

  • Draw and format shapes using groupings and alignment tools

  • Insert video and sound clips

  • Work with hyperlinks and action buttons

  • Use the various animation options available

  • Working with presentation modes e.g. setting timings, looping and Presenter view

  • Save and share your presentation in different formats

Pre-Requisites:

The course is designed for participants who have attended the “Microsoft PowerPoint: Foundation of Slideshow Presentations” course or who are proficient with all of the learning outcomes.

To participate in this session you will need to have the latest version of Microsoft Office installed on your device before the session starts. If you are unsure if you have the latest version please see the Install Office Updates web page.  This session will focus on the Windows version of Microsoft Office.

You are required to attend the whole of the course, this is not a "drop in" session.
