Duration0.5 days
Team UoN Libraries
Who should attend:
UoN researchers who publish;
APM staff who support authors with open access deposit of publications.
Please note that this course is intended primarily for staff. PhD students who wish to deposit a publication in RIS should ask their Nottingham staff co-author to deposit, or use the Library’s mediated deposit service.
Outcomes:
By the end of this session, you will:
# have an awareness of how RIS manages publications
# understand the options for achieving REF open access compliance after launch of the RIS outputs module
# be confident to deposit a publication in RIS
Overview:
The University launched the Outputs module of RIS in July 2018. This session will introduce what this change means for Nottingham authors, placing the Outputs module in the context of the wider system. The main focus will then be the practical steps to follow in order to deposit a publication, including how to ensure that REF open access requirements are met. After a presentation, which will last around 30 minutes, library staff will be on hand to support participants who wish to practise the deposit process for themselves.
