Who should attend?

This one hour session includes an introduction to what mindfulness is, some experience of mindfulness practice and signposts on how to develop your mindfulness skills.

Mindfulness started as practices for stress reduction but has been developed in the UK as a broad set for skills for how to manage thoughts in a helpful way (cognitive behaviours). See http://www.mindfulnet.org/ for more information on what mindfulness is about.

This lunchtime session is offered to University of Nottingham staff who would like to find out more about mindfulness and decide whether it is something they would like to learn more about.

This course is led by a mindfulness teacher trained and engaged in regular mindfulness supervision & CPD in accordance with the UK Network for Mindfulness-based Teacher Training Organisations https://www.ukmindfulnessnetwork.co.uk/.
