Course Description:


In this course you will explore the key characteristics of project and dissertation briefs and look at current approaches to supervise undergraduate students. The session is tutor led and you will work in small groups for activities and participate in wider group discussion.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this workshop you will be able to:
  • Consider the characteristics of an ideal project/dissertation
  • Determine what students should have the right to expect from their support
  • Discuss good practice in relation to supervisory meetings
  • Share views on appropriate ways of dealing with a set of common problems in supporting project students
