Learning Outcomes:
Participants will be exploring the nature of information storage and retrieval systems. 

Tools covered will include:

  • Introducing participants to the concepts behind database design
  • Exploring the structure of a database and its components
  • Enabling participants to understand the database they are using
  • Preparing participants to modify existing databases and to design new databases.

Who Should Attend:
Participant who are already, or who will be using a database and want to learn about how they work. Staff who will be making amendments to existing databases or designing new databases from square one.

Process:
Tutor input and group work. Please note participants will NOT be using a computer on this course.
