Who should attend 

Academics and researchers planning a REF impact case study, who want to know how they can best evidence their impact for REF purposes. 

Learning Outcomes 

This 1.5 hour session will explore how evidencing impact is understood in the REF context, and how this needs to be taken into account when planning a REF impact case study. It will focus on longer-term planning, exploring how academics can best prepare themselves to evidence REF impact throughout the lifespan of their research project. 

 
Participants will: 

  • Gain an understanding of how evidencing is understood in REF, particularly as it relates to policy and public engagement 
  • Learn how to build evaluation and evidencing into their impact work from the beginning and throughout the lifespan of the research project 
  • Understand how effective stakeholder management is an essential part of preparing for demonstrating impact
