By the end of the session participants should be able to:

·         Display an in-depth knowledge of the nature of dyslexia and its impact on learning

·         Critique their own teaching and learning materials to identify whether they are ‘dyslexia-friendly’

·         Identify practical ways to support dyslexic learners in a range of teaching/ support situations

 

Who should attend:

Anyone interested in understanding what dyslexia is, and how to support dyslexic students.  This will be relevant to all academic staff, especially those who are personal tutors. It will also be of interest to Hall Wardens and colleagues in a range of student support roles.
