Aims and Objectives: To provide staff with theoretical and practical training on the safe use and inspection of ladders and stepladders.

 

Who should attend: all those involved in the use of ladders and stepladders. Those using footstools and short ladders (e.g. 2-step stepladders) do not need to attend.

Suitable clothing must be worn for the practical element of the course and, depending on the venue, the practical may take place outside so warm clothing may be necessary.

Please note there will be a charge for this course, depending on the number of attendees. The total cost is divided among the number of delegates. Typical cost £55-£70 per delegate.

Please note: If you book a place on this course and fail to attend or fail to give 48 hours notice of cancellation there will be a charge to cover costs. The charge is dependent on the cost of the course to the University.

Please note:  If you are intending to travel by car to the training venue, please allow sufficient time to locate a parking space and to walk to the training venue, as parking may not be available immediately adjacent.

We engage the services of an external training provider for this course and as such this course is run as and when demand dictates.    If there are no dates available, training will have being carried out recently and we are awaiting sufficient numbers to run subsequent courses
