This course looks at a range of ways to deliver your lectures effectively, to ensure that students are engaged and supported, and to handle problems and incidents.

Learning Outcomes:

This course has been designed to contribute to your ability to:

  • Give lectures with skill, and use technology to do so;
  • Support active learning during lectures;
  • Support effective student note taking, including through the use of technology;
  • Support students with special needs in lectures;
  • Handle problems and incidents during lectures, including in large classes;
  • Improve your lecturing through reflection and collection of evidence.
About this course

This online course was produced by Epigeum as part of their University and College Teaching (UCT) programme.  Each course will take between 2 and 4 hours to complete, and is equivalent to a half-day workshop.
