Course Description:

This workshop considers the various influences on curriculum, design and module development. Participants will consider how module content is changed and managed, levels of learning and student progression (module 'fit' within a programme) and have the opportunity to examine their own, or their Schools, practices with a view to improving the student learning experience.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the main roles and responsibilities of a module convener;
  • Discuss how internal and external factors influence the curriculum;
  • Outline quality assurance frameworks for curriculum development;
  • Navigate deadlines and tasks for module change.
